About SLC

Student Leadership Conference (SLC) is designed to develop the leadership potential of university students in Hong Kong and foster the linkage among university students around the world. The objective of the Conference is to encourage university students to develop and excel themselves as future leaders, with the vision to contribute to the betterment of our society and nation.

First launched in 2000, the participants of the Student Leadership Conference extended from students of the City University of Hong Kong to all tertiary institutions in Hong Kong in 2001, and then to universities in the Pearl River Delta Region in 2002. The conference in 2003 was unfortunately cancelled because of the outbreak of SARS.

Student Leadership Conferences were highly commended by the participants and gained wide range support from academics, Government, business and community leaders. This year, students from prominent universities in Mainland China and Asia will be invited to join the students from City University of Hong Kong to participate in the Student Leadership Conference 2004.

To tie in with the event, the Conference also published the "Leader 21" in the past three years, in which successful leaders and celebrities in various fields shared their insight and experience in leadership.
