With rapid changes in the global economy, empowering individuals to envision and realize their own goals as well as to develop competences for a well-functioning society are seen as important outcomes for education. Employers are looking for multi-skilled employees that can adapt and contribute to the changing business environment of their companies. However, to what extent and in what ways should university education be related to graduate employability? While all students have to go through the process of transition from education to work, are they properly prepared themselves for the workplace? These are some of the issues to be discussed and answered in this conference.

In June 2009, 130 student leaders from prominent universities around the world will convene at the City University of Hong Kong to discuss the ideas of university education and how it is related to graduate employment.
